Jul 24 to Jul 29 In seventeenth century women's headgear began to emerge. A maker of women's hats, was first recorded in 1529, referring to the products for which Milan and northern Italy was well known. Purses were first used by men, but after the French Revolution, women’s handbags became popular, with beautiful beaded and embroidered details. Join us at the Silk Purse, 1570 Argyle Avenue, West Vancouver, BC as we celebrate our 40th anniversary with a collection of art in oils, watercolours, clay, textiles and mixed media of those objects of desire by the discerning woman - hats and purses!
Opening Reception: Tuesday, July 8th from 6-8pm
